Oversight planned to mark up a bill today, introduced by RM Garcia, to rename DCTAG after @EleanorNorton. It was pulled from the schedule after Republican Rep. Perry filed a malicious amendment to restrict DCTAG funding to US citizens only.

Yesterday I wrote a letter to Rep. Comer opposing tomorrow's meeting to adopt the "DC Taxing Authority Review Act." Congress already has the authority to disapprove tax increases adopted by the Council. The bill would straightjacket the District and paralyze our tax code. My full letter below:
