This isn't a thing that happened to Unbound. This is a thing that *people* in Unbound chose to do, again and again, at every single royalty run.
Show PostI've worked in a publisher where every invoice was being paid two weeks after the latest due date and the monies were being juggled for cash flow, and I assure you that was something the MD and the finance officer spent a LOT of time on. (No author was cheated, everything got paid. Still bad.)
Show PostJust a quick observation on #Unbound. Unbound did not steal author royalties because Unbound is not an independent entity. *People* in Unbound made explicit decisions over and over again to funnel received money towards other projects or cash flow or whatever instead of paying author royalties.
