Stiltchild & Co on the way to freedom! A friend spotted a large number of sandhill cranes gathered west of us this morning, so we are headed there to find them. It's a major flyway stopover for the 10,000+ cranes counted this week up in Sherburne Wildlife Refuge, to the north of us. 🪶

Post BLFC wrap-up: I was in a pretty low place beforehand being extremely nose to the grindstone with both business and work, little free time, and disconnected from friends and community. I legitimately thought this would be my last con and had the feeling like I was attending some kind of funeral.
