If the argument is 'the smartest person with zero education (using AI) might outperform the dumbest person with an advanced degree (not using AI)' then attributing this to the use of AI is the sort of thing AI would do

I've used TextExpander since 2008(!!) & adore it and use it for all sorts of little text replacement things, but it's gotten buggy/slow & costs $40/year I just found @espanso.bsky.social which is fast & open source & I've converted all my TE snippets to it—see them all at github.com/andrewheiss/...
