Let’s make documentaries like Earthlings and Dominion required viewing and watch how quickly the animal agriculture industry shrivels up. They don’t work to get ag-gag laws passed for nothing. They know they’ll truth will eventually put them out of business.

Maybe? We have enacted state laws for more humane treatment of these poor animals and so I think a lot of people realize how they are tortured. So both can be true I think. $$$$ is made esp by the monopolies.

It’s definitely all about $ for animal ag, and nothing else. They didn’t get so big by being bad at business, and they see the writing on the wall, which is why even companies like Tyson have started making plant-based meats.

I agree that the animal ag industry won’t change as long as there’s money to be made, but much of the general public would consider change if they knew the entire, unadulterated truth. That’s why animal ag tries so desperately to hide and humane-wash what they do. They know they’ll lose customers.
