When my parents moved from VA to TX in 2015, within a week: • an armadillo hit their car and caused $1,000 of damage • a huge storm blew their back fence down • a spider of some sort bit my mom and sent her to urgent care Their conclusion: “I’m starting to think Texas doesn’t like us very much.” 😂

Exactly this. If you want to piss and moan about how it’s hopeless and useless, feel free, but don’t expect a ton of support from the people who are putting their back into stopping it.

I OUTLASTED THEM. Also some people did turn music on and that helped. AND (best of all) I worked out the tension with exercise. This is the first time I’ve been able to do that, when triggered, for YEARS. And all this work now is so that soon, I can go on walks/runs to manage it. I’m encouraged.
