I have zero fucks to give about Hughes and definitely do not want to see his jersey in the rafters. He never accomplished anything in a Canucks jersey other than a toxic locker room and chip on his shoulder when ever he was being interviewed.

I have been thinking about this exchange literally all day and I think Mike loses me at "Quinn Hughes took us to places". Once? Maybe? But I dunno... 40 goal Brock, 39 goal Petey, 39, goal Kuzmenko, a super hot 3rd line. A superb Demko. That whole team went nuts. Quinn was undoubtedly brilliant.

if it is retired, it will be due to a someone else having worn it

It wasn’t Hughes fault there was never glory. The fault is he was a petulant Maga prick that contributed to a good team imploding.
