whenever i run into a creative i’ve known for 10+ years it feels amazing knowing they’re still making art. evolving phases in your life, needing to manage those changes and survive while still pursuing your passion in an industry that grows continually more hostile to art is not a guarantee

a song about being transgender is really just a song about change, self-actualization, loving yourself for who you are in spite of what others tell you to be. things i would hope are fairly universal ideals! i'm not asking you to be trans but i am asking you to love yourself
