Pfff

OMG. It's phenomenal. Parts of it are that late 60s early 70s violent country similar to Sanford Clark (like the songs that are on the vinyl wastelands compilations), and parts of it are like if Leonard Cohen wrote songs with an actual plot.

Also I say this as an Ian Noe superfan. Both their albums are concept albums, but Chasen Wayne pulls off writing a giant album with an unusual plot and it's also very obvious that the band has been playing live non-stop.

Also I received physical copies of a bunch of stuff and the Noel McKay Stories About Bad People CD came wrapped in a page of the National Enquirer for extra credit. I laughed so hard. It completely goes with the songs on the album

The Jack Browning album is also fantastic. He goes all the way from raucous honky tonk to stuff that kind of sounds like earlier Tyler Childers to stuff that almost sounds like a Tom Waits song, and it all works as one album.
