I've added some fun smart home integrations to my website to create a "Now" page that shows some sensor data along with last watched TV shows (data sourced from Mishos), and listening data via @listenbrainz.org

You can set it up to sync from your last.fm which means there's no change your existing scrobbling setup and you can continue to use both. That's what I've done and it works well.
