little bit of personal news -- today is my last day @honeycomb.io. it's been a really exciting three years, and it's a great team over there, but it's time to take a step back and reflect on where i can have the best impact.

I was at a @honeycomb.io event at the same venue last week. The t-shirts said "I test in prod." Today at a @chainguard.bsky.social event, a panellist from Bank of Ireland floated the idea that we might "have to start testing in production...." The security focused crowd laughed nervously...

Throwing away code as part of building. "Falsework", like building architecture - the falsework is the stuff you build when putting up a bridge, that you later remove leaving the actual structure you were building for. Interesting idea at this @honeycomb.io O11y day.
