They have also attended the same type of school and university. They have the same connections to help move them up the escalator of success. They have funds to set themselves up and loads of pals to praise them in the right boardrooms. No glass ceilings for them.

The most glaring example of this is when the Guardian’s Amelia Gentleman who did so much to highlight the Windrush scandal talked about struggling to get the government to care while sharing her breakfast table with government minister Jo Johnson brother of Boris who she met at family parties
