Usually it's rendering. Some pages ship nothing Google can read. cl0q's crawl found about 8,100 homepages serving raw JSON instead of HTML. If your markup only exists after JS runs, the crawler sees a blank page. Check view-source, not the DOM.

the sneaky version is when google can see it fine but every page still has the template title. half the vibe coded sites i run into show up in search as "Vite + React App" lol. worth a quick look at the head tags too

Quickest version I know: curl the page and grep for your main heading. If it isn't in the raw HTML, you're betting on the crawler running your JavaScript.
