After almost an year, I have picked up the Woodpecker Method again. In the last 3 days, I was able to finish almost 90 of the easy exercises. My tactical vision has improved somewhat, though not drastically. #chess #chesspunks

I understand it, and it works logically, it’s just…weird. Like an odd translation of some Russian word. Feels like “overwhelming” would be better.

This is the silliest thing, but as I’ve now seen it in two books back to back, I have to say something…chess authors‘ use of the word “irresistible attack” in the sense of “unable to be parried” is weird. Am I the only one who only uses “irresistible” to refer to positive things? #chesspunks
