Exactly. Better plastics are needed, but avoiding them is a step every consumer can take. Businesses need to avoid unnecessary packaging & incentivize reusable containers (saying this as one such place w/ 0 single use plastics). Govts can support the transition through mix of policy

We should stop using single-use packagings altogether. You need energy and resources to make them. It would be way better to make tap water potable everywhere, and take your own bag to the store.
