Hey bluesky, I’m Alex/ Honeycrush, singer-songwriter in NYC ❤️‍🔥 3 years ago, I taught myself guitar after a lifetime of holding in the secret desire to make music. I started writing & releasing music as Honeycrush last year. I’ve worked thru SO much ageism & self-doubt to get here.

I’ve been on Twitter (now X) since 2011. I forgot what it feels like to be excited to scroll through my replies and engage with folks until now. I guess I had Stockholm syndrome. Thank you, everyone. 🙏🏽❤️

Bizarre thing happened to me yesterday that my teenage self would not believe. I was playing at the gig to celebrate the life of the genius that was Neil Innes. Whilst waiting backstage to go on, Michael Palin sang the lumberjack song to me, in German.
