The hype was off the charts back then. That raccoon tail sold the game before anyone even held a controller.
Show PostI've been having a love-hate relationship with this series since the SMS days. I love-hate each entry for different reasons, but I celebrate every one! It's weird but GG Aleste 3 somehow turned #1 for me.
Show PostJust played it a few mins ago and recorded this to refresh since my post was based solely off memory. It definitely has elements of Aleste baked in such as grabbing P capsules and grabbing letters to change ships, but it still feels way more DDP/Ketsui. Graphics and music are great.
Show PostFor anyone not familiar with the Aleste series and this ends up being your first experience, please know that this isn't like other Aleste games. It's very DoDonPachi. *It's not a bad game* but it doesn't feel like an Aleste game. Glad they're porting it to consoles. Just keep that in mind.
