After he was put back into his bed, he had a meltdown about how he can’t handle his situation anymore, how he’s being a burden to us, the constant pain and weakness, why did this happen… So I stayed longer to get him off the proverbial ledge, let the charge nurse know, and trucked my ass home.

Right? And this guy isn't even credentialled enough to do my surgery so he keeps trying to dumb it down so he can do it. Why? WHY? Seems nefarious. Anyway, he's off my case and my other surgeon reported him.

Thanks for saying that. The surgery is tomorrow and he kept trying to insert himself. I asked that he be excluded and he's not being normal about it. I appreciate the reinforcement.
