Certainly. I think my disconnect's that I don't tend to moan about the things I love. There's enough in life to knock you from a pedestal of quiet contentment. I had a lovely day around the match y'day, and the game itself was drag and drain. Joy isn't a right. But there is some choice/control?

Everton do fulfil for us that eternal human need that is something to moan about though. Even if your life is going spectacularly well, Everton will just knock enough chips off you to stop you from thinking that joy is a permanent state of being.
