i haven't found any viable alternatives. it's what i know how to use and i have extremely limited capacity to learn this kind of stuff alongside everything else. i guess i'm just going to have to never update it again

i know that to some degree i can't avoid this garbage now, because too many people have been taken in. any recently updated software i use is likely to contain it. but i have boundaries and one of them is i promised my audience no fucking AI bullshit.

i already looked at a lot of alternatives a while back and had very little luck. if i can pitch ren'py entirely i will, but at this point it's probably not realistic. i will probably just. stubbornly forge ahead with no updates and never toss a single dollar or positive word-of-mouth toward it again
