honestly I don't know that I would even let anyone else dote on me like that. I have a really big issue with letting people see me like this. I instantly go into masking mode when I have to see anyone when I'm sick, no matter how close we are. it's automatic and idk how to turn it off

but this roomie is actually my ex-fiance and I've known him since high school. he's definitely seen me at my absolute worst, and he's really good at reminding me who I am when I start spiraling into self-hatred. I am very thankful for him.
