I'm normally pretty apathetic about stuff like this tbh because I try and keep in mind the actual impact I'm able to have/little I can change, but I do think that people should at least be informed so that they can make a fair and educated decision.

I feel like theres gonna be a big push on 'ethically' trained genAI soon & I just wanna remind people that even if they remove all the issues with what they train on, the **process** of training them and use of genAI is inherently bad due to the environmental impacts. 📰 news.mit.edu/2025/explain...
