No one this week had given a prime example of privilege more than Matthew McConaughey. He can afford healthcare, food, gas, and mortgage or rent. He doesn't worry about being deported or discriminated against. He can afford to throw away a vote for his "principles." The majority of us cannot.

Re-professionalizing and de-politicizing DoD will be crucial. And doable, as this thread with specifics shows. Add Thiel-Palantir to Musk-SpaceX and Luckey-Anduril review. Courts martial for boat bombings. Problem is, it’ll take political will, and there’s at least two more years of damage to go.
