Okay then one more advice: something you usually don't do with other bands because it's risky is climbing. Skavens have high agility scores so you really start to think in 3D when playing them. The minis equiped with fighting claws are even better at climbing so climb, climb, climb all you can!

The Assassin is mandatory since it's your band's leader, the Black Skaven are really strong heroes so they're must have in my opinion and Night Runners are very cheap (and slings are cheap so just equip them with a sling each).

If your band flee, you lose the game so you really want to avoid that to yourself and force your opponent's band to flee instead. So you have to find balance between having as many heroes as possible AND having as many grunts as possible.
