Shooting at a car to stop a shoplifter is not justified. Even if no one was harmed, let alone shooting to death a 1 year-old baby.

And for that, they executed a baby. Anyone who shoplifts diapers — not saying she did, I have no idea — needs those diapers and very clearly prioritizes their needs in their choice of things they are compelled by poverty to shoplift. No hell is hot or eternal enough for the authorities here.

I don’t think Billy is as mentally committed to the lies. He seemed like he had enough steam to keep up appearances for the initial filming—a battle they’d prepared for, on their own turf. But he lost it in the second half. God bless Amanda Seyfried.
