I don't think this is true when there's been Oney allegations or like the multitudes of abusive criminal right wing personalities like the Tate brothers. Plus I don't think he ever really was this super loud feminist - he never went deeper than a surface level feminist reading on stuff i watched.

i don’t think there’s a way to be upfront about this sort of thing without completely invading the privacy of the victim. i much prefer this over someone making a spectacle because he feels like that’s what the internet wants from him, regardless of the feelings of the victim
