Cheek tufts were next. I brought the sculpt into solidworks, then mapped out slices of foam to roughly match the shape. Afterwards you print scaled views of your slices to trace onto the foam sheet. Then smooth! I actually used this technique for mix 1.0's entire head

Because the foam piece is only glued in at the ends, you can grab his nose and stretch it all the way back to his face if you really want. It's VERY flexible. (I don't show that in this vid though because I'm a noob)

A thread on how I made mix 2.0 perhaps?? It started with sculpting over a printed scan of my irl head. Basically sketching ideas over a ref but in 3D.
