Finished the rough draft of my manuscript today. Feels good. What doesn't feel good is knowing I've got 4 chapters of initial rewrites, and an entire 89k words to go back through now! 😅

Oh hell yes, that happens to me all the time too. Although, not on draft four of More Than This - all my sentences for the current manuscript are actually finished. Thank god.

First draft of my new novel finished. 118,239 words. I'll be trimming that down considerably, but tonight I'm going to celebrate this milestone in the very part of Prague that inspired the book. Then, tomorrow, I start the new draft. #amwriting #kidlit 📚✒️

Never too early for it, in my opinion! Sometimes, when I'm stuck on a draft or a revision, I sit down and plan out what my school visit presentation will look like for this finished book. It really helps with closing the plot holes and focusing the story! #KidLitChat
