It’s easiest just to show a picture a Brian Kemp, the most UGA Man ever elected to office in Georgia. This is how every single voter Jackson is trying to reach would be dressed on campus for a game
Show PostThis Invest Atlanta decision shows why TAD extension would be horrible. At $380k per discounted unit, it's a waste of public $$. Atlanta could buy units outright for less. @mattwestmoreland.bsky.social & Ken Zeff opposed but did not win other IA board votes. Mayor & Big Real Estate call IA shots.
Show Post100%. Buildings are not silos. A majority subsidized building built in an affluent neighborhood is a huge win when it comes to desegregating Atlanta.
Show PostBingo. I’ve hammered on this point before. Especially given the fixed costs of subsidized buildings (esp LIHTC) 100% affordable often makes more sense esp in higher income nabes. (Despite what the NIMBYs might say.)
Show PostAmst Walk's building filled with 80% AMI tenants won't become a crime-ridden ghetto, *pace* hysterical Next Door posters. I'm no housing expert but the idea seems to be we need below-market housing & we can't have everything. If separate's cheaper, do it. @danimmergluck.bsky.social thoughts?
