I have to disagree for a couple reasons. A.) Targeting companies is the only practical way of stopping it B.) The notion of consent gets squishy when companies use long TOS agreements to bypass genuine consent. C.) "Resonable controls" on users never really work D.) Satire is a bad defense here

I think what’s happening is that Fauci is banking on the Senate refusing to hold him in contempt, and any attempt to charge him is easier to defend than the perjury trap. It’s a tactical choice, not a legal one per se. But that’s just my fairly inexpert musings.
