That's the thing!!! Like yeah, I read them as a kid and enjoyed them, but they're not GOOD. It's not a story I can read now without punching holes through it like wet paper. My positive feelings for the books is nostalgia, revisiting doesn't enhance them in any way. WHAT are people obsessed with.

Moreover, they're well-reviewed movies that look modern. There's not really some need that the remake is meeting. At least that's how I see it. You just never know when the hogs will eat the slop. I wouldn't have guessed the 7th Tom Holland Spider-Man movie would do these numbers, for example.

I just want to say that I realize I have it easy, to the extent being full-time freelance for 13 years makes anything "easy." I have the luxury of choosing what I cover and can mostly run my mouth at will. I understand many TV writers' and editors' employers aren't going to give them that choice.

It's mostly going to be covered like a normal television show and that will be really depressing but if you have the power to remind people their little treat comes dripping with blood you must do so.
