Even while one was sitting on me and needing to just burrow into me, I was thinking about how to divert harm from them. My OCD tells me that I will end up hurting them, or failing to prevent harm, but I feel so powerless to prevent what’s coming.

I am scared for the people I care about. I was sitting on the couch today with kids I adore, thinking, ”please let what is coming pass them by.” I know they are only my para-children, and I don’t even get to see them weekly anymore, but the sense of parenthood I feel is there nonetheless.

Spin class kicked my ass in all the right ways. Spinning and sweating in a room of 20-ish women, lit by candlelight, with loud music is such a great stress reliever and mood lifter. I showed up for me tonight and I’m glad I did. 🚴🏻‍♀️
