Something about a dryly funny Scottish man examining his & other men's emotional expression resonated somewhat...who'd have guessed? Joking aside, @duncancowles.bsky.social's SILENT MEN struck me, having gone on something of a mental health journey the last decade & past 3 years or so especially.

When the film looks at Ainslie, who becomes a father during the film's timeline, and Duncan's discussion with his brother, it really brought home to me how expressing yourself emotionally when everything is fine makes it so much easier to do so *when it's not*. It's a muscle that needs exercised.
