When it comes to turning car space into people places, sometimes less is more. One block long (or even half block when u need to maintain mid-block vehicle access) transformations can work really well. 2 good examples off of Granville Street South in Vancouver (13 people in the 1st, 19 in the 2nd).

Between this and the North Beach Historic District, Peskin is active as ever preserving SF for wealthy NIMBYs. Peskin has been carrying water for entrenched wealth his entire career. It’s amazing he ever passed as a progressive.
