Show PostAnd, specifically, when you insist on replying to me with it — and I do not mean good-faith questions or analysis, but rather knee-jerk "they'll ignore it"/"there are no consequences" pablum — you tell me that you (1) don't actually know what's happening and (2) aren't attempting to understand.

I am working nonstop to explain what's going on, but people insisting on doom not only do harm by helping Trump and his minions — but it also causes harm to the lawyers and activists fighting back and to those of us covering it.

You can be aware of — and vigorously oppose — the lawlessness of this administration without insisting on doom.
