all other complaints aside, people don't want to read ai books. and from a sales perspective, there's no reason for anyone to pay to read generated "content" when you can generate it yourself essentially for free. just think about it.

As a mere customer of books and other creative material I have no need or want to have anything to do with AI assisted material. As a citizen I'm appalled that a union for authors would cave so readily to the psychopathic billionaires extraction machine.

The thing that pisses me off about this is it shows how absolutely every single thing, no matter how innocuous, gets pulled into the cycle of online discourse and misinformation because that is what the ecosystem is built upon. Just constant, endless bullshit, all the time.
