spent the day with copilot + claude 4 agent to generate unit tests for some XSLT. after 6 hours, i still haven’t got what i wanted. more importantly, i haven’t learned anything in the process. if i’d spent the same time coding it, it would have been done way earlier too. BUT,

i really didn’t feel like writing XSLT tests today, and seeing claude 4 doing it so nonchalantly over and over with all the mistakes eventually motivated me to write them myself. i’d only felt the same in pair programming sessions. never thought an AI coding assistant would help me like that too. :)
