At the memorial symposium in honor of J. Craig Venter of the @jcvi.org they had an event on the Midway Aircraft Carrier. They had a nice display of Venter achievements / pics on the walk to the deck. I made a gif of some pics I took.

Finally, I took a selfie with my academic great grandpa Bernhard Palsson at UC San Diego during J. Craig Venter Memorial Symposium, J. Craig Venter Institute. I met Bernhard in 2006, and it took me 20 years to take it! @jcvi.org @ucsandiego.bsky.social
