Forget contempt, sanctions generally are quite rare. You’re allowed to be wrong. You’re allowed to pose losing arguments. Sanctions are reserved for conduct rising (falling really) to levels outside the realm of reasonable or appropriate.

Most of the time in my experience a jury gets it at least sort of right if not right. But then there are the cases where you’re like “Can we please get the case to them before they get hangry and just agree on something so they can get out of here for dinner?”

Pretty sure she's trying to get to define the joke so she can keep it into acceptable parameters - ie where people say she was just an entertainingly quirky breaker and not an out of shape woman who signed up for the Olympics before looking into what it would involve.
