People tell me that the east end doesn’t need a metro to go downtown or far away. It needs nicer local transit in the form of a tram. Tell that to the highest concentration of 60+ minute commutes on the island. Which I made a video about almost six whole years ago now!!!

I will never get over the absurd arguments people made regarding aesthetics and neighbourhoods to oppose the REM de l’Est. And how cancelling it did not bring about some hypothetical better project. The east end is languishing in long commutes and uncertainty more than four years later.
