Sometimes we get so fearful of bad interactions (or even assault) we'll sit in a public library for an hour listening to someone's maximum volume sermon before realising we've all fucked up massively by not looking up lol

It's happened twice now that when someone's playing videos out loud at maximum volume in a public space and I've looked over... it's an old person who hasn't plugged their headphones in properly. Luckily they're grateful and embarrassed when you point it out to them, rather than aggro
