The President seems to think that your tax dollars are just a slush fund he can use on his personal vanity projects. You don't need to be a legal scholar to understand this is plain wrong. I applaud this decision, which puts an end to some of Trump's obvious abuse.
Show PostRepublicans are unbelievable hypocrites on the national debt. They cut revenue by trillions so billionaires can get massive tax breaks. Any serious plan to address the debt has to include reversing these shortfalls. www.wsj.com/politics/pol...
Show PostWe should take the debt seriously, but that means being honest about how we got here. Spending alone didn't get us to $40 trillion. Decades of tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations have cost taxpayers trillions. Read my full op-ed in @financialtimes.com:
Show PostTrump isn't fooling anyone with his new $5,000 check stunt. I haven't seen a dime from the DOGE or tariff checks he promised over a year ago. In fact, he's done worse than give us nothing — he's costing Americans more with his tariff taxes and Iran war.
Show PostEveryone knows Trump's agenda has been a disaster for the economy. But we can start getting costs down in spite of him. As the lead Democrat on @housebudgetdems.bsky.social, I'm committed to overturning his costly tariff taxes and stopping funding for his moronic war in Iran.
