People act like calling something bad is like, just your opinion, man, while calling things is good is powerful and good. It’s this thin veneer of objectivity for something that is objectively, inherently subjective. “Bad” carries no more weight than “good.“ both are frequently simultaneously true

we don’t do this for anyone but artists, and that makes me fee like it’s fake. We call sandwiches bad and send them back, even if the person who made it really needs the job, and humans need food almost as much as they need art to survive. Calling things bad isn’t bad. Some things suck. It’s fine.
