A reminder that @texastribune.org's panel on state takeovers of Texas school districts will be happening tomorrow at 5 p.m. in Austin. I'll be moderating the first panel discussing the lessons that Austin ISD (and other districts) can learn from the takeover of Houston ISD.

Pamphlets purporting to come from a transgender rights organization — mailed to families across Texas and igniting criticism from conservatives — came from a company formed last month in Wyoming. The Texas Transgender Student Union listed a Houston-area post office box as the address on the mailers.
