There's no shortage of people online who claim they can do this for you. They give you shopping lists (often affiliate links, so they earn money on the back end) and list out the "rules" you should follow and the "mistakes" you should avoid. They often talk about how to "dress for your body type."

I suspect some of the anxieties around this stem from people having unrealistic expectations. They want a wardrobe that makes them look and feel great, is affordable and durable, requires no specialty care, and doesn't require much time to acquire. They want to be told what to buy and where to buy.
