For the past few years, there's been an assertion by many that AI pricing would only fall as models improved, but the reality is a spectrum of pricing crossing more than 3 orders of magnitude. On one end is e.g. Gemimi 2.0 Flash-lite at $0.30 per M output tokens and on the other now o1-pro at $600!
