This #BlackHistoryMonth #BHM2026 we’re highlighting a remarkable story from our Revolution 250 exhibition. Scipio Handley was a free-born Black Loyalist, fisherman, Revolutionary War veteran, and spy. His story took him from revolutionary America to London’s growing early-modern Black community.
