I mean, the Canada's innovation and productivity problems are complex and multifaceted, but starving the only aspect of the national R&D system that punches above its weight doesn't feel like a sound national building strategy.
Show PostCanada invests a lot in faculty, trainees, labs, CFI equipment. Then we waste much of the potential by inadequately supporting its use. Million-dollar microscope + no staff/maintenance = million-dollar doorstop. Million-dollar microscope under collapsing roof = same.
