This is a pretty big deal. More efficient use of existing resources (thanks to modern wx models) could potentially lead to water savings equal to two entire Shasta Lakes. For comparison, the new Sites Dam off-stream res (off the Sac River) will have capacity of 1.8maf at a cost of $3.9 BILLION.
