The mystery game is… Donkey Kong Country 2! The short version of a much longer story is that as a kid, I really liked art and wanted to become a great artist. I was pretty terrible at art…but the music in that game made me realize that I both loved music & excelled at making it! 🎶

Megaman 3 was the first in the series that had an alternate boss theme 🎶 after the initial 8 robot masters 🤖, which, as a kid, blew me away. It’s still something I love seeing in games today, especially for final boss themes! But it’s not the special one! ⤵️⤵️⤵️

Believe it or not, no! FFVI was the first FF I played, and by the time I picked it up (early 2013), I had already been composing for many years. Despite that, it's one of my favorite RPGs of all time, and it left a lasting impact on me as a writer/story-teller~ 🩵

I wasn’t really a Sonic kid growing up…while I think the games are cool, they didn’t really do anything to define me. Kirby’s Adventure should’ve been on this list, too, but I feel like Super Mario Bros. was still slightly more influential for me. And you’d think that, right? 🤣 But it’s not RO! 😅

All of these influenced my life in a positive way at some point (yes, even League 🤣). From helping a younger me forge friendships to steering me toward the path I now walk, they're all important...but one is particularly special to me, as it helped me realize my love for music. Can you guess which?
